Mildred A. Rieck, 94, of Tripoli, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Tripoli Nursing & Rehab.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli with Rev. Scott Duffus officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Tripoli. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10th at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli and for one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be made in her name to Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli.
Mildred Anna, daughter of Arthur and Amelia (Meyer) Kuker was born June 10, 1921, at Sumner, Iowa. On January 22, 1942, she was united in marriage with Alfred Rieck.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Jane (William) Hunter of Cedar Falls; one son, Gary Rieck of Sumner; four grandsons, Bradley Hunter, Adam (Sara) Hunter, Ryan (Kimberly Ferrie) Rieck, and Marcus (Cheyenne Cobb) Rieck; three great grandchildren, Ian and Calvin Hunter and Paisley Rieck; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hoppenworth and Kathryn (Ron) Lindner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, who died August 14, 2005; her parents; three brothers, Nelson, Veylord, and Donald Kuker; and two sisters, Florence Dirksen and Alberta Halford.
